CREATING A MASTERPIECE

The team at Old Speckled Hen wanted to launch a special, elevated ale for connoisseurs and collectors. With a brand with such a storied past and exciting present, we knew going into the archives as well as understanding the modern brewery, would help inspire us to tell a compelling story about this masterful brew.
Agility
The first thing we did was speak to the head brewer to understand this special offering. It became clear from the enthusiasm and artistry in his words, that this was a master at work. Having done the rebrand of the Old Speckled Hen masterbrand, we knew that artistry in brewing was a key component of their identity. Inspired by their past and passion, we created the name Old Master Hen, referencing the painters in their history as well as their modern master brewer. Along with the bottle, we designed the fully branded bespoke presentation box & outer sleeve, to create a fully subversive experience which tells an engaging story with vivid details for ale aficionados.
Precision
The result is a piece of art in itself. Crafted, clean and considered - the overall design feels luxurious and engaging, the perfect branding to best reflect the beauty of the beer itself.
